What the recognition documents
Super Lawyers has named Aaron Resnick to its Florida list in business litigation every year since 2013, fourteen consecutive years through 2026. Before that, Super Lawyers named him to Florida Rising Stars in 2011 and 2012, the separate list recognizing attorneys who are under 40 or within their first ten years of practice.
Super Lawyers is a Thomson Reuters rating service that selects attorneys through peer nomination, independent research across indicators of professional achievement, and peer evaluation by practice area. The selection process limits the Super Lawyers list to a small percentage of the lawyers in each state, with a narrower limit still on Rising Stars.
Why the consecutive record matters
A single year on a peer selected list reflects a good year. Fourteen consecutive years reflects something different: sustained standing among the lawyers who practice against you, evaluated fresh every year by people in a position to know how you actually litigate.
The Rising Stars selections in 2011 and 2012 place the recognition earlier still. Aaron was being named by his peers within the first decade and a half of practice, and the selections have continued without interruption since.
For a business owner evaluating counsel, the useful signal is not the badge. It is that opposing counsel and colleagues in Miami business litigation have identified the same attorney year after year for fourteen years.
What the record does not establish
Super Lawyers selection is a peer and research based rating. It measures professional recognition and standing. It is not a measure of outcomes in any particular case, and it does not predict the result of any future matter.
Rising Stars and Super Lawyers are separate lists with separate criteria. The 2011 and 2012 Rising Stars selections are stated here as Rising Stars and are not counted within the fourteen consecutive Super Lawyers years.
