Miami New Times reported on July 13, 2012 that Aaron Resnick represented all four players, and The New York Times quoted him on September 20, 2012.

What Was the W South Beach Condo Hotel Case?

In 2012 four NFL players sued the W South Beach developer, 2201 Collins Fee LLC, to recover deposits of $182,000 to $194,000 each, paid in 2006 and 2007. They claimed more than 30 liens on the units blocked the closings, Miami New Times reported.

What the Times Reported

The New York Times reported on September 20, 2012 that condo hotel buyers rely on hotel management contracts that can change, and that the players' suit accused the developer of using the W name "as bait." The Times quoted Aaron Resnick: "A condo hotel is a very difficult investment strategy."
